PS4 to support Android

PS4 will not be just Xperia-only, rather it would will fully support Android this week.

Sony has announced version 7.00 of the PlayStation 4’s system software which includes updates to Remote Play and party functionality. Remote Play will now let the user to stream games from the user’s console to any Android device running version 5.0 or above.

Such features were available on Andriod phones since 2014 but only to Sony made phones, now there would be a Remote Play app in the Play store for anyone to download. Sony also added iOS compatibility earlier this year, so the expansion of Andriod support always seemed likely.

There is also a new voice-to-text feature that transcribes the text and displays it on the PS4 Second Screen mobile app, but currently only available in the US for now. Sony did not say if the feature will be available to other regions.
