Liverpool have no plans to sign RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner in the January transfer window.
The Reds will continue to watch the German’s development, as will a number of top European clubs including Chelsea, but they are also unlikely to pursue a move in the summer as things stand, as speculation over his future mounts in Germany.
Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham are among the clubs monitoring Brighton defender Ben White during his current loan at Leeds.
There is no break clause in his season-long loan from the Seagulls, however, so the most likely chance of a deal this month would be for a club to buy him and agree to loan him straight back to Leeds for the rest of the campaign.
Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham are among a host of clubs monitoring the Lille striker Victor Osimhen.
However, the Nigeria international is expected to stay at Lille for the rest of the season unless the French club receives a January offer that is too good to refuse.
Trabzonspor president Ahmet Agaoglu has seemed to confirm Liverpool are interested in goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir too, saying: “It’s been said Liverpool have made an offer. So a team that is undefeated in the Premier League wants my keeper. In other words Liverpool’s goalkeeper is in my goal.”
